I am looking for a good community choir to join. I am 66 years old, sing 2nd Bass, and I have many years of experience in choral music. My home is near Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, but I’m currently living in Warwick for the next 18 months. I would like to know first of all if there are any openings in your choir, what the audition process is, any fees you may charge, and your rehearsal times. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Steven,
Hi. In answer to your query firstly we are a non-audtioned choir, so you can just join. We always welcome new members. We are mostly older people…! I’m sure an extra bass would be welcome.
The joining fee is £100 for the year from September. One of the committee members suggests that if you joined in April then there would be no charge until Sept.
Rehearsals are on Mondays at 7.30pm at Coten End Primary School, Warwick CV34 4NP. You could come along in March to see what it’s like, but wouldn’t be able to join in our concert on 4th April. After that we start on the Summer Concert, which is madrigals. You would need to speak to our librarian, who can arrange to hire copies for you, or you can purchase from her.
Hope this helps?
