Choir Membership
Currently, the choir has around 75 singers, and we always welcome enthusiastic new members – especially basses and tenors! There is no pre-entry audition, and members with varying sight-reading abilities can enjoy singing together.
If you would like to join us, and before making any firm commitment, come along to Coten End Primary School, Coten End, Warwick, CV34 4NP for one or two of our rehearsals at 7pm, for two hours, on a Monday evening – especially the first two Monday evenings of a new term. Rehearsal at Coten End Primary School
Monday Evening Rehearsals
Regular rehearsals take place on Monday evenings from 7 to 9pm in term-time at Coten End Primary School – car parking is available. There are no rehearsals on Bank Holiday Mondays or in school holidays. Choir members are expected to attend at least 75% of rehearsals for each concert unless alternative arrangements are agreed with the Musical Director.
Occasionally too, there may be extra rehearsals, including Saturday workshops.
Concert Venue Rehearsals
On Saturday concert days in November, March/April and June/July, an afternoon rehearsal is held at the concert venue, usually between 2 and 5pm – please see Concert Arrangements for more specific information about concerts.
Annual Subscriptions – Season 2025/2026
We are keeping the cost of our subscription the same as last year.
A full season’s membership is £125.00.
Our season runs from September and members’ subscriptions cover permanent costs such as the Musical Director, accompanist, and rehearsal and concert premises.
Membership is free for 18-25-year-olds.
Music Copies for New Members
When first joining the choir, new members are advised to make the appropriate arrangements to either buy or hire music themselves as we cannot guarantee there will be sufficient spare copies available. Subsequently, copies of the required music may be hired through our choir librarian.
New copies of vocal scores can be purchased through the Amazon link (at the side of this page) or by ordering through Presto Music, the online music shop.
